Examples of working with several Children’s Centres across
a larger area

As well as working for individual Children’s Centres, I work with Children’s
Centre Area Co-ordinators and Marketing Managers within Early Years
Services in some areas, to market and produce literature for an area that has
several Centres. For example:

• for the Lewes area in East Sussex we have produced a report that has each
  double page spread as a Centre and details the ECM it has delivered to, and
  features a parent study also
• for the Bexley area we have produced a report which details what the Centres as
  a group have achieved via ECM and parent case study info
• for Somerset we have produced a 44 page Achievement Report that features 20
  Centres across Somerset on twenty double page spreads
• for Greenwich we have produced six individual Achievement Reports for their
  six Children’s Centres (with a foreword and back page detailing what is
  happening in Greenwich re Centres and future plans for Centres in Greenwich).

Case studies: For many locations, including Herefordshire, Chorley, Winsford,
Cheshire, Wiltshire, Hillingdon etc, we have produced three/four/five case studies
per Centre in an area. In the text mentioning the specific Centre, but in the heading
saying, as example ‘Children’s Centres in Chorley’ so that all Chorley Centres can
use all the studies (not just their specific three/four/five).

Andrew Smith of Stoneworks developed an affordable and parent-friendly services booklet for us, against a very tight deadline. He delivered with time to spare. He then met the Centre Managers of the five Children's Centres in Chorley and is now producing a range of parent case studies to cover Chorley. These will be used to show other parents how Children’s Centres can help them.It’s not about advertising services…it’s about advertising how parents benefit! That’s what gets a parent’s attention I believe. For free Stoneworks also developed a logo for Chorley Children's Centres and a house style.
